Setting up, operating installations and finishing testing programs following HAT/SAT protocols for electrical systems
Checking, supporting and coordinating the activity of OEM suppliers during commissioning phase
Reporting test data in HAT/SAT documents as well as for improvement points/standardisation
In pre-commissioning phase, doing pre checks for cable installations and completeness of connections to support efficient commissioning of systems
Checking electrical drawings and signalling issues. Providing improvement proposals to the Engineering department
Participating at sea trials phase, during Damen Shipyard supply trips of ships to their client destination, solving issues and that may arise

1. Education Higher vocational education
Completed engineering course, naval architecture or specialty studies on electrical and automation, electronics, telecommunication, etc.
Knowledge of Internet and computer technology, network systems is an advantage
Knowledge of Microsoft office package and AutoCAD
Proficient spoken and written English skills
2. Experience
Minimum 5 year experience in shipbuilding or relevant position in electrical and automation systems.
Sailing experience or working on ships as electrical engineer is also considered.
